Grant Writing, Management, & Evaluation Solutions
Millions of dollars in funding is available each year for public and private sector organizations who want to conduct research and explore opportunities to tackle challenging problems in our community. Grants are available for an almost measureless number of projects in an equally broad assortment of topic areas. Auburn Montgomery Outreach works with state and local agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and private sector businesses to form teams that, together with effective collaboration, can work to address important community and business problems with the assistance of funding provided through federal or state agency or private foundation funding. As a branch of a university, Outreach can often be a lead applicant on grants that other entities are not eligible to receive.
Outreach consultants understand the grant writing and management process. We work with clients to design an approach to best address the grant objective, focusing on our client’s capabilities and making suggestions to build partnerships in those situations in which a team approach will more adequately meet the outcome objectives. We can serve as the managing entity for the grant, coordinating all parties, providing oversight, and meeting reporting requirements.
As funding through grants has become more competitive in recent years, accountability has become a key requirement for most funding sources. Funding entities expect to see results with objective outcomes tied to their grant dollars. Evaluation is a key component of a good grant proposal. Many federal and state agencies now require grant recipients to have an evaluation component – often requiring an evaluator outside the recipient organization. Outreach consultants are experts in assessment. We can design evaluation plans that are realistic for the organization and responsive to the granting entity’s requirements. Outreach consultants often serve as grant evaluators, providing assessments and reporting of benchmarks and outcomes.
