Continuity of Government

Located in the home of Alabama’s State Capital, Outreach has a long history of providing services designed to improve the operations of state governments.  Governments, in particular, operate under a unique set of constraints.  In instances of man-made or natural catastrophes, it is essential that government continue operations – if not increase operations to address the inherent surge resulting from such events – to maintain public order and well-being.  This challenge is accentuated when government itself is directly affected by the catastrophe.  It is imperative that governments adequately plan, prepare, and exercise the capabilities to meet these challenges and better ensure the continuity of government services in such instances.  To address this vulnerability, Outreach, in cooperation with the State of Alabama’s Department of Homeland Security and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, has established a Continuity of Government service solution to provide relevant information sharing, training, and support services to and across government entities within the State.
