Featuring Bruce Pearl, Head Coach, Auburn University Men’s Basketball

How Marketing Basketball Translates to Business

Tuesday, October 3
Wynlakes Golf & Country Club

Bruce Pearl is a proven winner. In Pearl's eight years coaching in the SEC, two at Auburn and six at Tennessee, his teams have averaged a phenomenal strength of schedule ranking of 8.1 in the nation by Pearl's impact is also continually felt in the community. When he isn't out buying lunch for students on campus or dropping into Auburn marketing classes, he can be found spreading the word of Auburn basketball at Auburn Alumni events throughout the Southeast. And if he isn't there, there is a good chance he is in the stands supporting one of the other Auburn programs.

And when he's not winning basketball games, he's winning the hearts of a fan base badly wanting a winner.

Auburn has sold out of season tickets in every season under Pearl … three-straight years … for the first time in school history. Since Pearl arrived, Auburn leads the SEC with 12 graduates from May 2014-August 2016 with two straight seasons of a perfect APR score.

"Behind Kentucky, Auburn may have the second best basketball atmosphere in the SEC," said ESPN's Andy Katz.
"Auburn Arena is rocking, and Auburn basketball is the hottest ticket of the winter," said Dave Neal of the SEC Network.

William Espey, Branding Visionary, Chipotle Mexican Grill

Consumer Engagement: The Power of Creating a Transcendent Experience

Tuesday, March 20
Wynlakes Golf & Country Club

William Espey serves as lead of Branding and Marketing for Chipotle, a breakout success restaurant that went from a small set of restaurants in Denver to a publicly traded international brand with more than 2,000 restaurants worldwide. He started with Chipotle over 15 years ago as the sole branding visionary when it had fewer than 20 locations. William Espey, a leading expert with real life experience will share with the audience on how to create a lasting connection with customers; companies need to create an over-all brand experience that engages the audience in a way that, for at least a moment, is transcendent. Like getting lost in a good film or a book’s plotline, a complete brand experience can have the same effect—captivating customers and leaving them craving more. William explores what he calls Transcendental Motivation and how it can create consumer engagement that goes beyond a single transaction. William Espey also led the branding and marketing efforts of the survival and recovery of the food safety crisis that Chipotle experienced in 2015.
